Yes you can eat uncooked Kale.  Kale is the perfect super food! I actually prefer to eat raw kale mixed in a salad.  Some might find the texture of kale to be  little too fibrous uncooked. One tip is to use the outside parts of the leafs of the kale and not using the stem.  For me the texture of kale is great and i enjoy it just fine with a teaspoon of apple vinegar and a splash of Cesar salad dressing.  

Kale is packed with vitamin K  1200% in one serving. Vitamin K helps protect against some cancers.

  • Kale is superior to spinach in flavor, texture and nutrients.
  • Kale contains low calories, high in fiber and no fat.  Helps your body with digestion.
  •  Kale has more iron than beef so if you look at your nails and see white spots you could be lacking iron then Kale would be great for you.  Iron helps you transport more oxygen through your body.  
  • Kale Contains omega 3 fatty acids and helps with inflammation.  If you cholesterol level is  high consider eating kale it will lower your cholesterol levels.

  • Kale has lots of vitamin C and is the perfect food to eat while you are sick to reduce the effects of a cold add to your chicken soups or eat kale chips or a kale salad.

  • Kale has to be the most greenest vegetable you can find and taste good enough to not need much seasoning. 
  • Kale chips taste amazing i have a few recipes for kale chips below.  Just be careful when you eat kale to wash it really good first as Kale is one of the vegetables depending where it comes from  has lots of pesticides.

You can also make kale chips  simple preperation

  • Drizzle with olive oil
  • little sea salt and cracked pepper Place in the oven on open baking sheet  for 12 minutes

Make sure to remove stems! another tasty recipe!

  • use 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice, 
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or canola oil 
  • sprinkle lightly with chili powder 
  • and coat Parmesan cheese optional coat the kale with this combined mixture.  
  • Bake around 12 minutes on 350 look for edges to brown be careful not to burn.  
  • These just melt in your mouth packed with nutrients taste like a sinful food without the guilt.

If you can find organic kale you are lucky.  If you buy kale that’s non organic  you can

  • soak the kale in a solution of 15 % vinegar
  •  optional  2 tablespoons  of 2% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes.  
  • This is a non toxic way to remove unwanted bacteria and pesticides.  Let the raw kale soak in this solution then use a salad spinner or rinse off the solution with filtered water.  The peroxide is optional and will help reduce a wider amount of pesticides.  You should try to get in a habit of using vinegar and soaking all your produce.
